Darryl Mathieson

I started my PhD in Philosophy in July 2022 at ANU, where I work with Victoria McGeer, Frank Jackson, and Daniel Stoljar. My main area of specialization and interest is consciousness, and my thesis is on the subjectivity of experience. My background is in philosophy and psychology, with a lot of my work sitting at their intersection. I write on a range of topics within the philosophy of mind, psychology, and psychiatry including self-consciousness, schizophrenia, the functions of consciousness, scientifically-motivated arguments for epiphenomenalism about consciousness, the hard problem of consciousness, and inner awareness.
